LOL, brilliant!
Dear Jane:
You are now on the no-fly list.
Love:
Homeland Security
P.S. We know about the knitting needles, and we're watching!
Menawhile, our home state is battling with the Supreme Court to keep the most restrictive "poll tax" in the nation. Despite the fact that there has never been a single documented incident of voter fraud in recorded Indiana history.
YF: Thanks. That is actually edited for content; my first thought did not pass the "family content" censor.
Mark: Knitting needles are allowed. Specifically. So are scissors with less than a 4" blade, though a 1" pocket knife is still considered a security risk. No logic at all.
Cheesehead: I know, and it's ridiculous. Of course there's beenvoter fraud-- I grew up in Lake County, where it was practically a cottage industry. But the ID thing isn't going to make a lick of difference if the fraud is being perpetrated by some of the same folks issuing the cards.
Our gub'mint at work.
