So this is totally random, but I've now been made aware of the fact that we had the same dorm room at SWTS.
I used to enjoy watching our then-Dean (now bishop of New York) chop wood out in the back yard in his clericals and tweedy cap.
Ah! Another alum from what a suitemate (in her best Snooty Brit Accent) used to call "the Penthouse at Hibbahrd Hawll."
There was no chopping wood in my era, but I do recall our then-dean's daughters practicing their tennis against the N-S building across the way.
That was how I met your newest neighbor-- he lived downstairs, as I'm guessing he mentioned.
Yes, we figured it out at dinner on Friday night.
We took him to BBQ, he showed up with leis (one kukui shell, one fuzzy). A true intercultural exchange.
